Meet Frank, Head Trainer.

Hi, I'm Frank Zhirnov. I started my dog training career after meeting the wonderful therapy dogs that came to campus the day after the UCC shooting. Meeting such great and loving dogs made me realize that my purpose in life was to nurture the bond that we have with man's best friend.

I worked at Petco as a professional dog trainer for a few years. Then, after losing my job during COVID, I decided to take the risk and go it alone.

It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am truly greatful for all the wonderful people and pups that come my way, and the bonds that I get to strengthen.

Frank is a wonderful patient dog trainer. I have a cane corso mastiff and believe me you have to have patience when working with this breed. I can’t say enough about what she has done to get Duke obedience trained and socialized. Duke loves her and her dogs she brings them over sometimes for dog play and dog interaction. She works on any problems you might have with your dog in a very loving but all business way. I know you and your dog would have a vary good experience with Frank as your trainer.

As a rescue who has rescued many dogs from bad situations, I have worked with Frank for a couple of years now with Frank helping to rehabilitate many of our fearful/fear aggressive, traumatized and/or reactive dogs. Frank has helped us change not only the bad behaviors of these dogs but has helped us to change their future so that these dogs were able to become highly adoptable and receive successful placements in forever families.

I cannot say enough good things about Frank and our whole experience! My husband was skeptical that a month at training would help, but our lab did not come to her name and would run the woods behind our house like a wild beast. I joked with Frank that the wrong dog was returned to me. Remi is so happy to obey now. Come when she’s called, and even more responsive to commands than ever. She’s barely 18 months old, and we could tell she loved Frank and family and it felt so great being about to send our beloved pup to someone that made her feel at home as well. We had such a beautiful experience.
